Irish Awards Joy For Portman
Travel management company Portman's Irish operation has scooped a prestigious business travel award.

Portman won Best TMC at the ITM Business Travel Awards Ireland, which were held at the Westin Hotel, Dublin.

The award recognised the business's investment in new technology, its retention of high profile clients  and the success of its European Centre of Excellence, based in Tralee.

Portman's Irish operation has, in the past 12 months, increased revenues by 39 per cent, thanks to a roster of multi-national clients, including leading pharma business Alkermes. It employs approximately 50 people in its Tralee centre, part of an overall staff of 400 across the UK and Ireland.

Loraine Corkery, Head Of Operations for Portman, comments: "This is a credit to the hard work of everyone in Portman Ireland, the great success of PortmanOne our award winning technolo-gy platform and an acknowledgement of the high standards we work to.

"This achievement, coming so soon after Portman's merger with Clarity, promises lots to look forward to in 2017 and beyond. There will be more investment in Ireland, new sales resources, further technology opportunities and a vital role for the Tralee office to play within the new business."

Carol McNelis, Alkermes Executive Administrator, adds: "Portman was a worthy winner.  This award adds to what we, the client, have been saying for so long - Portman is best in class."
